“Dear teachers,

October 5 in the state holidays of Armenia symbolizes the unique respect that the Armenian people towards the school and teacher. I cordially congratulate you on the professional holiday, the Teachers’ Day, bow before your unceasing work of many years and great contribution and wish you all the best.

At the same time I address my congratulation and evaluation to all pedagogues of Diaspora, who living far from Armenia have become the special apostles of Armenian identity preservation.

This day is everybody’s holiday, and all of us recollect our schooldays, either rigorous, or delicate our teachers, who gave us not only rich knowledge, but also helped us to give form and content to our minds and aspirations, helped all of us to find their path and become a full citizen of the country.

Dear teachers,

You outline with your everyday work tomorrow of our state. What world outlook and what system of values the future generation will adhere are greatly conditioned by your work. And today the educational reforms being implemented in Armenia are for that purpose, and its goal is to create an educational system making more competitive Armenia in the world, forming a free and democratic society based on human fundamental values, providing high quality of education complying with today’s standards. I am sure that we will also successfully solve this most important problem, which will make essential the results of your devoted work.
